I have been dancing since I was able to walk. My first dance classes were through the Dance Bus provided by my preschool. I soon began classes at my local dance studio Not Just Dance, run by Rosemary DeMott. My family quickly fell in love with the studio and the community that came with it. From preschool all the way through senior year of high school, I was given endless opportunities through my studio. I participated in conventions, competitions, masterclasses, photo shoots, scholarship opportunities, and much more! The largest take away I have gotten from the years at Not Just Dance would be the importance of family, whether blood related or not. I now have lifelong friendships and connections that will always be there to support me!
Middle school and high school is where I found my love for theatre. I found leadership roles teaching and choreographing in show choir, taking those numbers to competitions, winning superiors and high accolades.
Into the Woods was the first show I participated in during middle school, the buzz of adrenaline I felt when stepping in front of an audience was a feeling I never wanted to forget. Carrying into high school, I immediately knew I wanted to be a part of the theatre program there. Junior year I landed my first lead role, Princess Winnifred in Once Upon a Mattress. This unlikely princess is what gave me that last little push to help decide theatre was what I was meant to do. I graduated in 2020, which is when the COVID-19 pandemic took away many things every senior had looked forward to since freshman year. Although there were many struggles and losses, my passion for performing only grew stronger, making me even more eager for my first day at Florida Southern College.
I am currently located right outside of Orlando, Florida but was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I just recently graduated from Florida Southern College in May of 2024 with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a Minor in Dance. I am a proud alum of the Kappa Delta Gamma Epsilon Chapter, I hope to continue to grow In my sisterhood through supporting local Girl Scout Troops by providing a confident role model to young women in the community. I am also a proud alum of the Alpha Psi Omega Theatre Fraternity brotherhood. Within the Lakeland community I have performed at events for the Betsye Kay Finch Performing Arts Foundation. I could not be more thankful for the opportunities and life-long connections I have been able to make throughout the community.
